Things you never needed to know about me!

I’m always fine tuning my recipes to get the best texture and taste. My friends never turn down the chance to be testers. I'm finally done tweaking my icing since the feedback tells me that it's sinfully perfect.

The day after our wedding, we didn’t have a gift opening. Instead, we had a "leftover cake eating" party.

One of my little girl's first words was "cake". She thinks that baking and decorating is just what mommies do.

I have a degree in Nutrition from Saint Francis Xavier University.  Despite all I learned, I still think cake should be the 6th food group.

Our wedding cake was the theme for our reception. We had a main cake as the decorative focus in the room and each table had a miniature replica as its centerpiece.  These became dessert for the admiring guests.

For Christmas 2009 I got 9 books about cake decorating... and I love every one of them!

The business name friends kept coming up with for me was "Magpie"; one problem, I don't make pie!

I'm known as a perfectionist. Thankfully, in this line of business, that's seen as an asset.
